Supreme Court - Another 2A win

If you are relying on SCOTUS or any other government entity to be honest and preserve our rights then you will be disappointed. The machine’s purpose is to preserve itself.

My gut us leaning “okay, you peasant gunhumpers can have your icky black rifles but you only get Klinton Klips to feed them.”

Does crossing the horder illegally actually bring them under the jurisdiction?

Yeah, ya kinda wish that the writers of the 14th Amendment had written in non-fancy, straight-to-the-point language that couldn’t be misconstrued by anyone down the road. “Subject to the jurisdiction thereof” could’ve been more plainly stated. We know why they wrote that Amendment, but today’s results did not fit those parameters. If they meant it for any damn person busting into our country then they should have stated it thusly. ← Did ya like that term? Tried to put it in 19th Century parlance.

I don’t think the writers foresaw activist judges and communist legislators hell bent on destroying our country.

They were well aware of the tendency of government to become tyrannical having just rebelled against that.

The Bill of Rights were pushed by those opposed to government over reach and opposed by those wanting to get the over reach faster.

They lazily assigned it the modern meaning of “under the laws of” instead of the historical meaning as it was during the enactment of the Amendment “claiming sole allegiance to”. Roberts conned Barrett too into supporting the Constitutional question while Kav desperately tried to convince her to only support the statutory question.

As it is, 5-4 on the Constitutional Question which is extremely unfortunate but we had 50 of a wrongly decided Roe, 40 years of Chevron and 90 years of Humphrey’s all get overturned recently. Hopefully we cut this one down to a mere handful of years.

ACB seems to be just a sockpuppet for Roberts.

The USSC also just screwed the country by not knowing the meaning of “day”. Apparently election “day” is however long it takes the demonrats to round up enough ballets to win. Can be a day, can be a week, can be months.

Yeah, at least it’s a topic of conversation and folks are taking positions. Before Trump it didn’t even seem to be on the radar. Heck, I’ve seen more stories on birth tourism in the past year than I have my entire life.

To be fair, I don’t think any of the Founding Fathers saw a time when vermin like that would use the Constitution to destroy the Republic they created.
