The Supreme Court on Thursday struck down a Hawaii law that makes it a crime for gun owners to bring their guns onto private property that is open to the public unless they have the property owner’s specific consent. In [Wolford v. Lopez] by a vote of 6-3, the [justices agreed with a group of Maui residents with concealed-carry permits that the law violates the Second Amendment’s guarantee of the right to bear arms.
Thursday’s decision will have an impact not only in Hawaii, but also in four other states – California, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey – with similar laws.
Yup. Basically all guns were outlawed unless a person carrying a gun had expressed permission from the property owner.
Personally, I view the rights of private property owners as sacrosanct. However, this was a government de facto objection on behalf of all property owners absent specific permission granted. Failed the constitutionality test.

I almost completely agree. However, if the owner of a property that is open to the public prevents members of the public from exercising their Constitutional rights to carry weapons and fails to provide armed protection for them, I believe that the owner of the property should be held financially responsible for damages upon individuals who are violated by predators that also enter their property.
I do believe that they can put up a sign prohibiting Concealed Carry. I believe the Beef was it became a default No Concealed, not by Law, but by “Feelings”.
