Suppressor

Hello,
Guys, I was just watching “Zero Dark Thirty” and I know movie suppressors are more quiet than the real deal. So who sells the quietest suppressor in the real world? I prefer one where I do not have to purchase another flash hinder for my AR.

Thanks

The closest thing I’ve heard that gets “Hollywood” quite is a suppressed 300 Blackout using sub-sonic ammo. The thing is so quiet the owner is trying to figure out how to get his buffer spring quieted down.

A suppressed 22 shooting subsonic ammo is movie quiet.

The silencerco specwars are the quitest I’ve heard so far and I’ve heard a LOT of different cans

I have no idea what your current flash hider is, but if it’s an A2 and you don’t want to replace it then I’m pretty sure a Gemtech Halo is your only option.

Halo or GMT-Halo

Pretty much every suppressor out there either threads directly to the barrel or gives you a choice between a proprietary brake or flash hider.

Griffin Armament M4SD-II also attaches to an A2 flash hider.

And is one of the quietest cans out there.

I hear good things about their cans but I wasn’t aware they made a model that was A2 compatible. Thanks.

Real-sounding suppressor :dirol:

But seriously, 300BLK subsonic and 22 are “movie quiet” IMO. Maybe even 9mm subs.

Just get a SureFire, and buy a new muzzle device.

If you can’t/won’t replace your flash hider, you still have to make sure that you have a milspec A2, and that it did not use a crush washer to mount.

Then, an excellent can which is hard to find, as it is out of production as of about a year ago, is the SWR Renegade. It mounts directly over an A2 and is very quiet.
