I juts felt that I had to share this with some other AK folks, today at a local gun show I witnessed a mini draco in far from good shape sell for $1200…bone stock, shot to hell and sold for a 300% profit from what I know the guy paid originally, things are getting crazy out there!
I’m afraid its only going to get worse from here on out. Winchester Ammo prices have jumped $2 a box in the last couple weeks, primers are starting to become hard to get, also alot of common ar parts are starting to dry up. it will be an interesting year for sure.
We already saw that this past year with the bulgy ak 74 mags that were more than plentiful at approx $15 a pop and now they are no where to be found except gun broker and occasionally on the boards for more than twice that.
It probably has more to do with the rumored lack of further importation than anything. Prices will probably settle down in time, but will still remain higher than MSRP.
I’ve had the opposite experience with supply and demand. I decided to get rid of my last AK and I had trouble even getting what I thought it was worth as a used rifle. Even in excellent shape and the fact that it was Arsenal, I feel like I lost money on it.
$1200? That’s less that what I just paid for my new Arsenal SLR106UR.
