superfeet

what do you guys use to cut yours, just ordered my first pair just don’t know what to expect

Scissors

I have had 3 pairs and never needed to cut them. Good choice btw/

Scissors worked fine for me.
A bit of advice- instead of cutting at the marked lines, take the insoles out of the shoes you are putting the Superfeet into and overlay the Superfeet with them. Then just mark them with a fine sharpie. Some toe-boxes are shaped differently than the indicated line contour, and sizes vary between manufacturer.

Yeah I just used EMS shears on one pair but found most sharp normal ones work fine. I have noticed the green superfeet raise your feet up higher in your boots so I may test out the next model down see if I get better fit.

Like Failure2 stop said I trace the old pair on new pair then trim

Edit Post

what are superfeet and what do they do for me?

Edit Post

Anyone use the Orange or Blue super feet over the green I have one pair that I find the Green lifts my fee up to much for these I was thinking of a thinner pair.

Edit Post

I tend to use blue for anything that doesn’t involve running (daily wear and snowboarding), green for my running shoes. I have relatively flat feet and the green help me keep my feet stretched out and relieve my plantar fasciitis to some extent when I run regularly.

thx for the help and feedback, the green superfeet 11.5 to 13 were an exact match to my Oakley S.I. insoles, so got lucky no trimming

I talked to a person at Superfeet she was really nice and answered all my questions she recommend me trying the blue. She said its same support just little less padding and this is what they recommend anyone that has the same problem before cutting the Green one down. Plus its all under the 60 day grace period for them. I think I am going to try it out. They are really nice people to work with.

I actually used to be a rep for Superfeet. They’re home office is right here in Washington state. The different colors indidcate different levels of padding and not different arch types. I use green in running shoes because they tend to have thicker factory insoles so you will need more padding. i use blue in casual type shoes and I use black in all my dress shoes. I hope this helps.

Rgr that.

I got a check over from an orthopedist as part of medical for OCS. My statement regarding the arch type is what I was told.

Also at Superfeets website when you read the descriptions for each type of sole it states what arch it is designed for. Ex. for Green it states: “ideal for medium to high arches”.

Wow! I stand corrected. Thanks for the link. It looks as though the Superfeet corporation has re-done their charting. i wasn’t trying to call you out. I, instead, thought that I was simply clarifying some things in your post. It looks as though they have changed their models and their uses because when I worked for them there was never an Orange colored system available. Thank you for your attention!

No worries. That is what this place is for. Learning.

This is what I do.
