The PR semi-auto and PR Bolt Gun forums are where I spend most of my time while on M4C.
I’ve noticed that a lot of the posts in these two forums actually apply to precision shooting in general, not specifically to semi-auto or bolt gun platforms. I think a lot of good threads die / do not get seen because of low traffic.
Here’s are a few example threads (recent ones) from the bolt gun forum that could be equally relevant to both semi-auto and bolt gun shooters:
http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=95643
http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=95959
Now a few from the S/A forum:
http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=96220
http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=90876
So, here’s what I suggest.
Make a Precision Rifle sub-forum where general questions / information about precision shooting can be posted.
Then, at the top of the Precision rifle sub-forum, have a sub-sub forum for bolt / semi auto.
None of the threads, format, or structure of those two already existing forums would be lost. You could just port them over to the new location and the regulars on those forums could carry on as usual.
But now you’d have a general precision rifle forum that would get a lot of traffic from members of both sides passing through it.
To me it just makes more sense.
