I picked up a DDXV upper when they were on sale, and was going to mate it with my Kaiser Defense lower, but the finish is completely different (i know, it should not be about looks but performance). The Daniel Defense is a deep black while the KD looks like more of a dark gray when paired together. Since I have a matching KD lower and JD Machine Tech upper I want to build into a long range .223 or 6.8 AR, I am considering picking up a new lower to match with the DD upper. Does anyone have any idea who, besides DD, has a lower that will match? Does the Mega Gator have same color finish?
On a side note, does anyone know if Daniel Defense has any plans of selling stripped lowers?

The AR15 is a tool as such you don’t hear carpenters talk about the fit and finish and matching handle to head of their hammers. Fit and Finish is about the last thing you should be concerned about, you should concern yourself with the quality of it’s parts, proper assembly and if the thing actually works. Daniel Defense sells stripped lowers and you can get one through G&R Tactical.–gotm4
