I broke my TLR-1. That said I dont know how and the streamlight service center here could not figure it out either. They replaced it with no hassle and the replacement has worked without problems. As for the breaking, well it is what I do. I dont know why I have such a talent but I do. Lock me in a room with two steel balls for a while. When you come back I will have lost one and broke the other.
i carry one on my issued 226r dak in a safariland als holster. for the money i dont think it can be beat. i have another on the way for my rifle.
MY Dept has 48 of the TLR-1 C4 versions in service- no issues
Great lights, I use the wx150 now which has treated me well. The strobe feature comes in very handy
