Just curious if anyone knows anything good or bad about this or any other Streamlight 1913 lights. I use Streamlight flashlights at work and they are great for the money but not sure about this style. Thanks
We are in the process of moving from the Glock light (awful in my opinion, have broken 3 personally by shooting) to the TLR-1. It’s a HUGE improvement and so far is testing to be a great light. Many folks seem to love their TLR1’s up here. I don’t know about the strobe model. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Also check into the Surefire X300. Another great light.
I have been running the TLR1s on a Glock 17 (in a Safariland 6360)since January. In fact, I just used it twice last night during building searches. I am very pleased with the light, and really like the throw of the beam. I had previously used a Glock light, and a M3X, and the TLR1s is, in my opinion, much better.
I bought one as well ans really like it. It’s much brighter than the TLR-1. I mostly leave it on my SBR as it’s small, light, and has a serious light throw.
I love the TLR-1 (C4). I never warmed up to the stiff Surefire X2/300 switches and the light, throw and cost of the Streamlight offerings really won me over. The TLR3 is a great nightstand gun light as well.
A VERY good investment IMHO. I keep one on my nightstand G17. Great light pattern, VERY bright, and good throw to the sides. Plus, you can’t beat the price.
I wouldn’t bother with the TLR-2 unless you’re dead set on having a laser.
I’ve run a TLR1 for about 4 years now. Never had a problem with it or the G23 it’s mounted on. I too like the switch better than the Surefire X300
I run a TLR2 on my Carbine.
I have two TLR-1’s.
One on my XD9, the other on my AR carbine.
The only negative thing I have with the TLR-1 is the thumb nut design. I had to modify mine to my liking.

Yeah man the TLR is awesome I got one on LAPOLICEGEAR and it was super cheap. took that sucker to Iraq, Afghanistan and its solid. just wont stop working and puts out a great beam. Im a surefire whore but there light is to much money. The TLR is the right blend of price and performance.
Got to be the best buy in weapon mounted lights. I love my Surefire hand helds, but bought two TLR-1’s from OMB for $79.95 @. A no brainer for my non-professional use.

Another vote for the TLR-1 (C4). It’s a great light for a reasonable price. I do urge you to check on the tightness of the screw from time to time, but inspecting gear is just good sense.
Oh yeah, I remember them. Purchased ammo from there in the past. Good prices. Wish those lights were still $79.99!
I like mine, but wish GG&G or someone would come out with a replacement thumbscrew - my spare parts box isn’t as well stocked as Quib’s! I’ve considered filing the supplied thumbscrew into a shape that would fit a socket.

Another guy here who loves his TLR-1’s. I switched all my rifles and handguns to them, after shooting a rifle with one.
I like the SF X300, but i just couldnt justify the price.
Good throw, decent battery life, BRIGHT.
I have a few of the C4s and have no problems with them mounted on pistol or carbine. They are value added over the X300s, due to cost savings and excellent light lumens and throw. I also own a couple of X300s, it has the edge due to the slimmer profile and lighter weight. Cost savings vs perceived higher quality, subjective, and depends on how deep your pockets are.
