Stock Options with Rifle Length Tubes

What are my options for Rifle Length Buffer Tube Stocks?

I know the ACE and Magpul PRS and of course an A2 stock - but any other preferences? I’m looking for a stock for a .308 rifle that is being built.

VLTOR makes a nice stock and is available in rifle length.

I put an A5 rifle-length buffer system on my Noveske Light Recce. Rather than buying an additional stock, I just used the carbine-length iMod stock that came on the rifle. The only difference is that when closed all the way, there’s a gap between end of stock and endplate, but other than that little cosmetic issue there’s no difference. I do like the rubber butt pad on the iMod version, but you can slip a rubber butt pad on the end of the Modstock if desired.

Can you take a pic of your iMod fully collapsed?

Thanks

Thats with a rifle length tube correct?

The A5 buffer tube is not rifle-length.

Magpul just came out with a new one http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG404/181

Vltor makes one http://www.vltor.com/rifle-modstock.htm

Rock River Arms makes one http://rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=540

M.A.G.S. makes one called the EFX-A1 (there is a review on here) https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=74358

Double Star makes one http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=16910/Product/AR-15-ARFX-SKELETON-STOCK

Hope this helps.

And my personal preference would be a classic A2 stock, due to accessory options. And storage.

I’d add 1" LOP for me, and some of those noveske QD studs.

I have an EFX-A1 and I think it’s a pretty good stock. It’s A1 length (5/8" shorter than A2) which I prefer. I also have an ACE ARFX, it’s fine… but not something I would buy again. Stag Arms sells the EFX-A1 on their website as a complete kit with buffer tube, buffer and spring for about the same price that the bare stock goes for elsewhere.

The Magpul MOE looks very promising but isn’t on the market yet.

The Magpul MOE looks very promising especially at the 69.99 price point!!!

Yes, my bad. It’s about 3/4 inch longer than a carbine-length buffer tube (8 inches long), uses a rifle-length spring, but still shorter than an actual rifle-length tube. Sorry for the misinformation.
