stock for 12.5 sbr for good balance?

Hey guys,

so i have decided to get a 12.5 BCM with either a 11" TRX or a 10" Daniel Defense (opinions on that as well?). I would only be adding a light, front site and QD sling attachment to either one of the rails. For optics I will be running a 3 series Aimpoint.

I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a stock (s) that would give such an animal good balance. I’ve been looking at CTR and Imods, but wanted to hear from you guys first…thanks!

I have Imods on both of my SBRs. I’ve tried Emods, CTRs, and SOPMOD stocks.

I may put a Vltor A5 and go back to the Emod on them, as they are both fitted for a suppressor.

Nothing wrong with the IMOD. I ran and broke a LWRC 10.5 test gun in a class and it had a UBR on it and it was the best balanced Shoulder arm I have fired. Bit shorter than yours but may be worth a look.

I have a CTR in my LMT 10.5". It cam with a SOPMOD but I moved that to my middy. I have shouldered the EMOD and like the feel but have not shot it. The only other stock I’ve run is a standard M4 stock they work fine too.

I use a UBR on mine and it balances pretty well.

My upper is a DD 12.5 inch barrel, DD Lite 10 rail. I am going to use a SOPMOD or a CTR. The SOPMOD is on there right now and feels great. I am going to see how the CTR with the extended rubber pad feels too. Good luck.

I was thinking a Magpul UBR to balance things a little if you’re going to have a suppressor in the future.

One of my SBRs is a BCM 12.5" upper with a 11" Troy/VTAC. It balances very well with a LMT SOPMOD. I have a Surefire X300 and a DD/BCM rail mounted front sight, Troy flip up rear sight and an Aimpoint C3 in a LaRue LT150 mount…great gun. My favorite SBR.

I’m new to SBR’s but when my Form 1 gets back from MSP and the ATF sign off on it I’ll be GTG.

   I bought a BCM Upper with 12.5 Barrel and  DD 10" Lite rail .  I added Troy Battle Sights front and rear and a Aimpoint T-1. BCM Bolt and Carrier Group , Gunfigher Charging Handle. Gear Sector Handstop

 The Lower is a Mega Machine Billet with RRA LPK with National match trigger , KNS Anti Rotation Pins and a Magpul BAD Lever , Noveski QD Plate and a Vltor Emod stock.
