The 870 started off as a used Express magnum. It’s got a used Police trade-in furniture set and barrel. This gun took some work to get it running again, since the previous owner didn’t take care of it.
The stippling gives a better grip for the palm of the hand, and it took about 20 minutes. Wasn’t too hard to do either.

Stippling is addicting. This is the 3rd gun to have something stippled.
What do you use for the stippling (sp?).
I used a soldering iron with a flat head.
I restippled it using a different head for a more aggressive texture since the original was still too slick.
Cool, i figured that’s what you were doing. I may have to break mine out and give it a go on my extra stock for a little practice.

I did the same thing in same area’s using 3m floor tape
not to jack your thread but I just did my 11-87 but I did the checkering, I knocked the top of the checkering off with some sand paper then just went at it…
