Tom Kier of Sayoc Tactical Group will be running a 1 day blade clinic.
For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Sayoc Tactical Group, here is what Kyle Defoor had to say:
http://www.kyledefoor.com/2011/01/answers.html
Why Sayoc? Because it’s the best real combatives I’ve ever seen. I could give a rusty fuck about some stylized competitive crap. Sayoc does a good job of taking elements from ground fighting, boxing, wrestling and making their own thing. The blade work is second to none as far as I’m concerned, and those that have been to my classes and took the challenge to get off a shot before I get my blade in a target (chime in if you please) have all lost . Tom from Sayoc has been in over 300 street fights, so it’s not theory at this point.
More info on STG can be found here: http://sayoctactical.com/about-sayoc-tactical-group/.
The idea for the clinic is to be an intro to the Sayoc mindset, methodology, and principles behind the use of edged weapons in violent confrontations. This will not be a shooting class, but will instead help folks integrate blades into their daily carry.
