Stephen Hawking has passed away.

I don’t think there are words to describe the level of loss for the world when a person like him passes away.

I personally like Carl Sagan. Has anyone actually heard Hawking’s voice prior to his debilitating disease? I don’t recall seeing any film or videos of him actually speaking.

What an extraordinary man and mind. If I were faced with similar health issues I don’t think I would have a fraction of his good humor. I always admired him for that.

It’s been coming.

Brilliant mind, but I don’t think he quite stands in the ranks of Einstein, Newton or Copernicus. Figured a few things out and proved the existence of things others said should exist but in terms of irrefutable amazing discovery he was probably somewhere between Sagan and Lowell.

Best thing about Hawking is they wrote him off almost decades ago and he not only survived past expectations but continued to contribute.

Col. Cooper said it about as well as possible: “We are diminished.”

RIP.

Yall serious?

It’s astounding how long he lived with that disease to give the world so much.

RIP
one of the smartest minds and toughest men to exist

I won’t miss him.

He died on Pi day (3.14 rounded down) and Einstein’s birthday.

Ironic, and what a coincidence.

RIP Hawking, it’s well deserved after all these years.

At least we still have Kip Thorne.

I think you are understating his contributions Steyr, even though he did loose a bet to Thorne.

Well, bye…

Since people can’t seem to behave themselves and show any respect for a dead person, there is no point in going forward with this thread.
