I have just started my first build. So far puchased a Spikes Gen 1 stripped lower for $65. Looking to probably use a daniel defense or CMT LPK and a BCM receiver assembly with MOE stock. For the upper looking at either a BCM or Daniel defense upper from GR Tactical. The estimated prices are the following:
stripped lower: $65
LPK: $70-$80
Receiver assembly with H buffer and MOE stock $120
BCM/DD upper with BCG and charging handle: $580-$620
MOE handguards: $30
I’m looking at a total cost of $865 to $915 depending on which upper I purchase. Any suggestions to improve my build while keeping in the $850 to $950 range.
If you’re ordering from G&R anyways, go ahead and get their LPK. Good parts, and the trigger is nice. Since you want MOE anyways, DSG Arms has a kit for $99 that incl buffer tube, buffer, spring, MOE stock, grip and handguard.
Looks good so far, DD & BCM are top notch so your definitely heading the right way. I would go for the DD parts kit since it includes a Magpul trigger guard.
This might save you some money on the MOE parts. They also have some total kits, that may or may not be a good deal. I haven’t price matched them to be definite.
