Selling a 5 inch Dan Wesson Valor 1911. I purchased the gun used so I can’t guarantee total round count, but judging by the lack of wear on the breach face I wouldn’t be surprised if it were less than 500 rounds. I’ve personally only taken it to the range twice.
Prior to using it I replaced the recoil spring with a Wolff 18.5# spring and replaced the firing pin spring, as well. I’m sure the originals were fine, but this is standard procedure for me with a used gun. I inspected the gun prior to use and the plunger tube is staked tight to the frame, and the safety has positive clicks both on and off. The gun passes the 10-8 extractor test with flying colors.
I would be 100% comfortable carrying this gun to defend myself and my family, but 1911s are just not for me. I thought about keeping the gun for a fun/range gun, but I decided I’d rather sell it and use to proceeds for something else. Hopefully it will go to a 1911 enthusiast.
The gun comes with factory box, manuals, bushing wrench, and a Dan Wesson Magazine.
