SRI jail break

Just got my Trident back from SRI and I’m extremely pleased. Machining is flawless and baffles were clean as can be. I opted for the Ti end cap and is was perfect. I can now take my can apart and use it on my 22 as well. If you were on the fence about doing it-DO IT. you will get the most out of your can. They were great to work with.

I thought the pressures of 5.56 had to shot in a sealed can?

Now I’m confused again.

First I thought all cans could be disassembled. then I thought it was only .22 to be disassembled… Now this… I’m confused again.

There are some takeapart 556 cans like the tac16. Most dont come apart. Most dont need to. But if you shoot 22 thru it and you cant take it apart its bad juju. But for a pistol can it works.

The main reason for a take-apart can, is lead. If you plan on putting a lot of lead through a particular can. A take apart can is a good way to go. The take apart option isn’t really needed in most rifle calibers.

I had mine done a while back and I wish my baffle stack came out that easily. I have to beat on a large, thick wooden dowel to drive it out, and then back in.

At least it keeps me from over cleaning.

Jailbreaking is a must-do if you have a sealed pistol can, IMO.
