I did a quick search on a 300 blk and can only find info about AAC using KAC rails to build their uppers. Is there any possibility KAC will be producing their own SR15 E3 uppers chambered in 300blk? I want the E3 upgrades to use with my current sr15 as a factory option.
It would probably be awesome, but since it takes a few thousand rounds before the enhanced E3 system starts to really shine, you could probably eat up your entire region’s supply of BLK ammo before the KAC option became the cheaper one.
I know what you mean but I figure that as long as KAC makes it, it would be worthwhile to me as the most advanced and reliable DI design in a great caliber. I suppose it depends on demand and cost effectiveness for kac but it would be a great option and I’d buy it.
I totally agree, but there’s calibers like the 6mm KAC designed for the PDW that I’d rather see first myself, and if the market is already getting saturated with high end uppers that use the URX 3.1 handguard anyway, I don’t see the motivation to go forward with that - pick up an IWS lower, and the AAC upper for a double stamp iteration, and all you’re missing out on is the E3 bolt. Some (like kdcgrohl) have done similar builds, albeit with slightly different parts used.
Any possibility of a 300 blk? Still hoping.
Pretty much zero chance of KAC 300 build anytime soon.

You’re toying with my emotions Kevin. First you dare sell me an ECC and now you demurely hint at possibly selling me into 300blk. I love/hate you guys.
Just update on the SR-30
14.5" and 16" guns should be shipping soon (and their uppers).
the short uppers (9.5" and 11.5") are going to be a while as our barrel supplier is Noveske Rifleworks.
These all have the new QDC flash hiders I take it?
Correct.
