This is a Springfield M1A SOCOM16 made in around 2004-2005. It has been a fantastic rifle to me, I am posting it for sale here because there is another very expensive rifle that I would like. If this doesn’t sell, I will be just fine with that.
It was made before SA ran out of USGI parts, so this is a high quality piece. It has hundreds of rounds through it, I am not sure how many, but I am the only owner, and it is properly lubed/greased.
I have added the following:
-Boyd’s NM wood stock with Grovtek QD push button sling sockets on both sides, fore and aft, and UMK style QD swivel mounts in the rear and up front (for a bipod). Also has Springfield rubberized buttpad.
-M14.ca Scout HandGuard (SHG). This is the lowest sitting rail available, and is lighter and cooler running than the Ultimak. Comes with one optional side rail (mounts at the 10 or 2 o’clock).
-Leupold FXII 2.75X scout scope
-Warne medium QD rings
-Cabela’s strap on cheek riser
-Sadlak NM spring guide
-Sadlak extended magazine release
-Smith Enterprises bolt stop/release
-Springfield NM Scout front sight, standard rear sight
-Piston assembly properly shimmed
-Fulton Armory stripper clip guide
-6x mags
I am asking $1830 for the whole lot, shipped or face-to-face in North Carolina. I’m moving to Western Pennsylvania in a month, so I can meet there too.
I am not interested in any trades, as I have a specific rifle in mind. If this doesn’t sell, or that one sells before I can grab it, I will be keeping this rifle.
Thanks for looking!
