The new sight that was posted by StreetDog, is a bit different than the most. One the sights will be in melonite. No FILING and POUNDING to install the sight. Just remove the old sight and slide in or tap the new in place. Snug up the set screws and it is set. This sight uses a mechanical lock in the dovetail. It isn’t a mickey mouse deal either, it is solid.
We have about 100 right now and the first will be done in Black Park until the production melonite is done. Full sets, front and rear. Rear sight is in our LEDGE only. Straight Eight or plain. Fiber optic front is also available with a set. Prices will be available as soon as we can get it ready.
I have installed these on several pistols to make sure they go on without fitting.
We just raised the bar on aftermarket sights!
Just received one of these to torture test. Initial inspection shows typical Heinie quality and attention to detail. The mechanical lock in the dovetail is exquisitely executed. As I looked at it I had one of those forehead slapping “why didn’t I think of that?” moments. Two things leap out at me right off the bat. #1 is the obvious ease of installation… no file and check, file and check…etc. #2 The melonite finish to keep the rust away.
