Spray in truck bedliner?

Any recommendations on a spray in bedliner? I have a short bed pick up. Ballpark, what does it cost?

In my old Taco I had a Rhino liner sprayed in, IIRC $250ish this was '01. UV rays eat at the material over time, fades and degrades. I had some cargo straps acutally saw into parts of it.

I’ve got x-liner in my f-250. It’s not even a yr old yet, but so far it’s wearing good. I think this is ford’s house brand, similar to line-x.

Line-x should run 450-550 depending on where you are and if you want the top rails done or not.

If you have access to a compressor you could do it yourself with Raptor Liner. Lots of Jeep guys spray this in their tubs. I have the kit, but havent done it yet, mostly cause I am lazy. The kit is like 120 and comes with a spray gun.

Line-x

LineX. I have LineX Xtra - $700otd, over the rails on a 6.5’ bed.

I’ve had experience with Rhino Liner and a DIY. LineX is by fair superior. Ultimately the installer is the key. I’ve seen a LineX job that destroyed a new $60k truck bed.

You can do it your self to, Raptor I believe is a good brand. Jeep guys commonly use it when we take the carpets out.

Line-X is the go to spray-in-liner. I have Line-X on my truck and love it. Look around at trucks with liners and you will notice none of them are on par with Line-X quality wise. There was a local company back when I lived in Commifornia that was even nicer than Line-X, I believe the place was called Ultra Truck Works or something.

I have Diamond Liner in my truck bed. No visible wear even though I have a Truckvault rubbing around on top of it that I remove and reinstall on a yearly basis. It’s held up for six years so far.

A good friend of mine worked at the local Line-X place and did quite a few of our buddies trucks and his Jeep. His Jeep is stored outside, all year long without a top for 14 years. The Line-X has held up really well. It’s hard to tell if it’s faded or just from all the dirt and mud, but it’s maybe a shade or two lighter. Cost is going to be highly dependent upon your area; $500-$750 is a common range I’ve heard for a 6.5’ bed sprayed over the rail.

I have had Rhinoliner in the 8’ bed of my F-150 since 2006. I believe it was $550. It has held up very well, aside from a few spots that have chipped off on the tailgate. I had a bottle of fiberglass hull cleaner spill and eat holes thru my aluminum toolbox then drip on the liner. Rinsed it out with a hose, no problems. I would avoid the do-it-yourself kits (my buddy calls it “aardvark liner”). I have seen some very poor results with that stuff.

I had Line X sprayed into the bed of my 2001 F 150 in 2001. Now today, 13 years later and 242k miles later it’s still completely covered just faded some. Highly recommend Line X.

Line X > Rhinoliner

My last few works trucks have all been coated when new. First was Rhino liner, next was some dealer house brand, and now Line X on my truck I’ve had for the last 4 years. The Line X is hands down the best coating on the market. The Rhino liner looked like crap very quickly, and started peeling up. The dealers own spray wasn’t even worth mentioning, it was slippery and failed almost immediately. The Line X is going strong, and they absolutely stand behind their product.

Spend the extra bit, and get it Line X sprayed.

The spray in liners are only as good as the installers. Tip the guy prepping your bed before it gets sprayed or prep it yourself (sand all the nooks and crannies and do a heavy scuff job on the most abused areas). I had some hack job done on an old truck and the shit peeled out in sheets within six months because they didn’t prep well enough. Might not be a bad idea to wipe down with acetone before the bedliner to remove any grease or wax.
