SPR Upper Advice

I have a RRA Lower with a NM Trigger, Magpul Adj, Tango Down Pistol Grip, and a Leupold Mk4 (buying from memb). I have never built an AR before, can I get help with what upper to get to fit this build. I am looking at taking this hunting and hitting 600m.

BTW it’s a 5.56 build…

Thanks!

I just notice that you’re in Atlanta.

I’m from Atlanta, but I’m in Iraq.

Sorry for the lack of detail in the question internet was going down…

Basically I was looking at a 18" WOA SPR with DD 12" rails and a DD upper, but everyone seems to be out of stock.

I don’t really care about brands, there are just so many good manufactures, and I’m not loyal to any particular brand. I just want an SPR Upper available within a month or so at a fair price. A package deal for example. I talked to ADCO about a DD/ WOA package deal they had and their lack of communication amazes me. Not sure what’s going on there.

Thanks for your service.

Your original idea almost describes my SPR. If you read my link, I’ve stated that WOA barrels have 20 weeks wait.

I saw your other thread that you’ve decided to purchase an assembled upper from PKfirearms.

Stay safe.

I appreciate your help. Your thread did inspire me. I love WOA, but as you stated the wait is just to long for me… I want to get shooting the second I get home. Right now I’m what I call a all-purpose Machine Gunner. I carry the M249 SAW CQB version as my personal, a M240B for foot patrols, and I have the 50 up with me in the turret while on mounted patrols.

So I haven’t even touched a rifle in a while, and I usually am a DM. I’m a attachment to my current unit, and we are ridiculously light on machine gunners.

question - on an SPR which typically uses a longer/heavier barrel, is there valid reason to use a special heavy duty reinforced upper?

I understand the MUR and maybe some other custom uppers address this concern…
