I have been out of the game for a little bit now.
Who can sell me a mid-length Spike’s Tactical 16" complete upper?
Later on I will probably upgrade to a BCM CH but for now I just need the complete upper, and I don’t know any vendors besides straight from the manufacturer. C4IGrant et al don’t have it in stock. I did buy one 4 years ago but I had to sell it and don’t remember who I bought it from.

Either one for $515 and add a set of Magpul handguards. The price is about the same overall.
To be honest, I’d really like the lightweight 16" BCM mid, but then I’d have to fork over another $180 for a bolt and then another $80 for a charging handle…And then I’d have to source some tapered midlength handguards, and those run about $40…
Total cost then becomes almost $800. ouch. Top Quality? Yes. Right now? No.
I know this is not what you are asking, but, why not hold off on the Spike’s all-together and keep saving money for the BCM? I have settled in the past for things because they were what I could afford at the time instead of being patient and saving and have truly regretted it.

Maybe I’m not following you but you can add a BCG & CH for only $70. The lightweight upper with FSB is only $439. Total = $509

Got mine from Aimspurplus a month ago.
I think I figured out why.
I was looking at the BFH version, not the standard upper package. That’s why the price was higher.

Can you provide a link for this price? All I’m finding are about $100 for BCG and CH sets.

That’s the price for adding them to the purchase of an upper. I thought you meant it was available as a stand alone purchase for that price, which would have been the best price in a long while.

This thread is about upper receiver assemblies… not el cheapo BCGs.
You can buy a BCM upper with a BCG/CH included now for cheaper than you can buy a complete Spike’s upper.
The cost of the BCG was discussed as a separate issue, so it is part of the discussion and I didn’t think it would take away from the thread.
And since the OP’s issue had apparently been resolved in his last post just before mine, it looks like your second sentence was as unnecessary as your first.

Save your money for the BCM and skip the spikes junk would be my advice.
