Got this from Spike’s Tactical it is a brand new M16 (auto) Bolt Carrier Group and hammer. The Nickel Boron brings out any machining/tooling marks. When I got it I thought there was something wrong. The Firing pin wasn’t super shiny and I thought the gas key wasn’t staked enough. After talking to Tim at Spike’s he assured me that it is good to go. Many others who have bought it from Spike’s told me the firing pins are GTG, just not super shiny, and that the tooling marks are normal, and the gas key is staked fine. They all have run their Spike’s NiB and they work great! I admit that I have a tendancy to over-stake. Spike’s advertises these as the best BCGs on the market. I’'ve included pictures of the machining marks on the right side of the carrier. I wanted to use this in my next build, but we just sold our house and have to pay to fix some things that didn’t pass inspection…so, my new build will have to wait:(.
