Spikes Havoc 37mm to 40mm?

So I’m sure we’ve all seen the picture or the stand alone Havoc 37mm launcher that was done up with FDE accents (see link if not)

The guy claims to have bored it out to 40mm (after registering as a DD of course)

I too have a Spikes 37mm flare launcher
I’d love to register it as a DD and be able to run the “beehive .22” rounds, and have more versatility of ammo.

I’m looking at the bore of this 37mm and I can’t see any way that an extra 3mm was scraped out of there, I guess it would be 1.5mm all the way around the walls but still…

Is this guy full of horse sht or did spikes change their barrels? Or is this actually possible?

(I’ve contacted both spikes and B&D asking these questions and have received no response. )

and before you ask I’m to cheap to buy an actual LMT or legit 40mm.

To answer your your question, Yes it can be bored to 40mm if you follow the NFA rules and your state allows DDs.

You might want to consider joining Grogs 37mm/40mm Launcher forum to more infomation on what you are getting into. The best advice i can give you is, If you want to play in the 40mm world, Buy a 40mm!!!

Just buy an LMT m203.

None of the projectiles will stabilize out of a smoothbore barrel, unless you make your own with fins.
