I have a CMMG dedicated 9mm AR with a standard A2 flash hider from the factory. I’d like to replace it with a Spikes Tactical Dynacomp because I like how it looks. Any thoughts on what the impact of the Dynacomp might be on 9mm bullet flight (the Dynacomp being designed for 5.56 rounds)?

Assuming you bore the device so it can be used with 9mm, you still have the problem that the thread size is incompatible.:blink:

Will Spikes do a custom job?
I was going to bore it out myself, but had not reallized there was a thread size issue 
- in fact, I hadn’t even thought about thread size as related to this… I had no idea CMMG had non-standard threads :jester: I hadn’t thought of asking for a custom job, but I bet Spikes is a bit busy with getting ARs out the door. Well, thanks for pointing out the utter folly in my idea… :sad: I appreciate the input and expertise!
Original Colt 9mm barrel threads were/are 1/2X36. Most all other manufacturers followed their lead and stayed with that pitch. You can have companies like Adco set the pitch at whatever you want. Though the low recoil of the 9mm in a carbine really isn’t worth the time or money involved. Good luck!
