SPF Featherweight BCM-based custom upper

Sold Pending Funds.

My Project Featherweight upper is for sale.

Regular chrome-lined 16” BCM upper, midlength, cut down to 14.5” and turned down to 0.590” before and after FSB. FSB shaved down, 11” Troy Extreme rail installed and 1.5” BattleComp perm-attached. All work was done by ADCO. BCM BCG group, standard charging handle.

I don’t know how much it weighs. It is very light. I don’t have a precise weight scale; I guess I can go and weigh in at post office – for a serious buyer.

There are total of 330 rounds shot through it, about 180 before the work and 130 after. Expectedly, no malfunctions. Early on, I had two failures to lock on empty with Hornady 55 grain training ammo and H2 buffer, but then no issues after with same buffer. Zero function issues with H buffer.

I’ve not shot it enough to have a complete feel, but I actually think that due to light weight and Battlecomp efficiency, the muzzle not only doesn’t rise but may be even gets pushed down it recoil. I don’t know if this is possible, but it is certainly very easy to hold on target.
Accuracy is pretty good when cold, but, expectedly, groups open up when barrel heats up; such is life with featherweight barrels.

All photos are to highlight cosmetic blemishes and imperfections for those who value fit and finish. There are scratches/gouges on the left side of receiver due to me being stupid, it doesn’t go through anodizing. Troy rails are sometimes difficult to align with upper receivers, I didn’t care to align mine. Otherwise, marks from optic mount and usual wear.
A short rail is attached at 9 to mount a light.
Sights are not included, but I can sell them too, they are used Troys.

Parts and labor bring this upper to just under $1100. Selling price is $900 shipped. Price is firm; this configuration is not available from any manufacturer so you’d have to pay in full to get one built.
