I’m in need of a mag pouch and I was wondering what people think of spec-ops brand gear. I was looking at getting a 4 mag pouch seen here.

Are these ok for use?
It’s well made but their attachment is SHIT. I would order Eagle or Paraclete mag pouches before any other brand.
I promise, you will not like how their pouches attach.
+1 attachments suck. pouches are pretty good and can work ok on a belt, but they beyond suck on a vest. they’re not proper MOLLE
avoid.
Thanks for the advice, I’ll look at something from eagle.
You should check out Tactical Assault Gear too. I’ve got their MOLLE M16 Mag 6 Pouch (along with some of their other pouches) and love it. Their attachment straps are rock solid.
Plus they sent me an email yesterday saying everything is 50% off if you order this weekend.
When I sold SpecOps brand gear (stopped about 1.5 years ago), they worked fine on MOLLE gear. The pouches were a pretty good value for the money even if they were a bit basic.
(I stopped selling the gear because they changed their dealer min order requirements and the fact that some of the large PX’s were selling this stuff at a major discount, and due to the AAFES pricing there was no way to compete when Joe could walk across the street and buy something for 25% less than I could sell it for and no shipping charges…do they charge sales tax on base??)
I just had one question about TAG gear and just molle gear in general. I don’t have much experience(as in next to none) with molle gear so I’m not sure about what kind of setup I want. So, in the meantime, is it much of an issue just to mount molle gear on a regular belt until I decide what to upgrade to? I think I may have to try out some TAG gear because of that sale or get it from DSG since they have some otehr stuff I should pick up as well.
I’ve been real pleased with the quality of the TAG gear I’ve purchased.
Well I purchased a TAG 2-mag pouch from DSG arms just to see what it looks like. It was only $12 so I am interested to see if it was worth my money and hopefully replace my current homemade mag pouch.
The mag pouch came today and it seems to be a good piece of kit. Pmags catch a little when pulling it out while aluminums come out easy, but that might have more to do with the fact that it’s new. For now I just ran a 1.5" nylon strap for a belt through the middle slot in the molle straps(or whatever it’s called) until I learn more about what I need to a chest rig unless the is some sort of molle ready belt. I think I’ll get another one form DSG when they also have a black mbus in stock.
TAG makes a padded molle belt, as do a few other companies.
