As some of you may know, SFDCC Tuesday night matches require an Orientation and Qualification before you can participate. In an effort to attract new shooters we are going to open up our 5th Saturday matches to all SAFE shooters beginning with our match this Saturday, 30 January 2010.
This is NOT the place to come if you just bought your carbine yesterday. You do need to understand how to load, unload, engage and disengage the safety, etc.
In order to mitigate some potential issues we are going to limit these matches to the carbine only, no handgun. We will also be shooting standards, or established drills.
This month we will be shooting a modified version of Pat Roger’s MEU(SOC) Qual. The main change is that the real qual includes a portion with running from the 50 to the 25 yard line which we have eliminated for safety reasons.

You need 100 rounds, two magazines, a carbine (AK or AR preferred) and a sling that allows you to hang the carbine muzzle down.
