Son on NFA trust, 18 years old ??

I have taken my son hunting all his life, shot Coyote and Elk out to 400 yards. Both my sons are on my NFA trust. He is going coyote hunting with his friends. Is he legal to take a our suppressor? In AZ he can have a gun with him, but can’t buy a handgun until 21 (I think). I think he can buy a long gun, but not handguns.

Anybody know the skinny?

I believe he can legally possess a can if he’s 18 & listed as a beneficiary on your trust.

18 is perfectly fine to possess them. Additionally, he wouldn’t be able to buy anything from a dealer, but he could buy NFA items from an individual or file a Form 1 to make one. So…as ridiculous as it is, he couldn’t buy a stripped lower from a dealer to base the build on, but could buy a 16" AR and convert it to an SBR via F1.

I looked at ARS 13-3102 and didn’t see anything, “it’s defined as” prohibited "in the prior definition section

Thanks Matt. I saw your post about G rails. If you want to come by and look at mine sometime, let me know. I know I have two of the models.
