I cannot decide on the MK6 or the Vortex. Main factor is price.
However: the carbine the scope will be on is my main HD/SHTF. I wanted it light as possible, so adding 25oz plus a mount doesn’t sound good. But how noticeable is it? I’m sure it would balance well.
Also, is the illumination ‘problem’ with Leupold major? Is it hard to quickly get perfect head position so you can see the illumination?
I read somewhere that a certain mount did not work with the Razor, I cannot remember which, are there any problems with mounts and changing the magnification?
Is the reticle on the Razor as small as the Viper 1-4x? Since the Viper seemed rather small to me.
Lastly, how’s the red dot with the Mil reticles- can’t remember the exact name?
Mostly I want speed up close and decent precision out to 600 yards.
Which optic is better, where- ie. better ranging, reticle illumination, 1x usage?
