There were some pretty nice cars there, obviously. The new Subaru WRX concept car looked especially good. If they put it into production I’ll probably end up with one.

Loved the WRX concept.
Having driven, worked on, and races C5s and C6s as well as Z06s of both generations I do have to say that even though the C7 is a ripoff of a Ferrari it is spectacular. They have not released prices but are saying that they will be in line with the C6. If this is true a Z51 coup will be had for $45K. Not bad at all.
That particular WRX seems slung a little low for rally racing.
Nice pics!
I hope the WRX stays close to the concept when it’s finally released.
What, no pics of the new $3.9 Mil. Lambo? I see the Mclaren there… ![]()
Seriously though- that Corvette is the first one I’ve seen that I would ever consider owning- very nice.
I must be getting old… ![]()
The Corvette is sexaay.
All they need to do with that WRX concept is give it a worthy transmission option. A dual wet clutch paddle shift 6 or 7 speed tranny is absolutely not too much to ask for. After all, the R32 Golf has had one for a decade now.
No Teutonic cars?

That white 4-door is a Porsche. But honestly, I found the Porsche offerings pretty uninteresting. Same with the BMW’s. Some of the Audis were really interesting but I didn’t get any photos.
No hybrids??? LOL.
I love the new designs, but man when are we going to offer 30 yr notes on cars??? I’d love to see some under $15k designs rather than the uber expensive concepts. The thought if my car payment equalling my mortgage hurts my brain.
I LOVE the new WRX concept. Tarmac is where the money is…The Lancer EVO folks realized this quite a while ago. Gawd it looks sharp.
The new C7 has really good lines (not sure I like the rear yet), but I’m not a fan of all the little accent-colored vents and ducts. At least they are all functional.
How does the C7 look in person?
I’m assuming the Ferrari 430 is the Stradale version. I like me some real carbon on the car. ![]()
Oh, OK (on the Porsche). Was not clear to me what the white one was (I am not really a car guy that deeply).
I’ll have to look up the Audi news…
I’ll admit the rice rockets like the WRX don’t really interest me. To each his own. I know a lot of folks like the WRX and Lancer types.
At least this WRX does away with that huge silly wing on the back and the funky hood scoop.

Exactly. I use mine (not R32, but A3 3.2 Quattro DSG) for last 8 years and I do not imagine going back to manual (classic auto was never an option, even that I liked one in my 928S). Twin clutch is so much fun on curvy road and for daily commuting it is silky smooth.
I was never really fond of Subarus (preferred Lancer Evo and Delta Integrale), but this WRX concept is sweet.
No Jeep pics ![]()
The new Ford Focus ST is a nice pocket rocket, but the price? Meh. $24.5K base price for a hot hatch is just too much.
Actually, is prefer to so the shifting and heel and toeing myself. Thank you much.
But that IS the way the industry is easing - for better or worse.
When Porsche chose a dual clutch transmission for the GT3… Manuals are officially done for high end sports cars.
It was awesome while it lasted.
“One man with courage makes a majority.”
That’s a great price considering inflation. My Integra Type R cost exactly $24,500 back in 2000.
“One man with courage makes a majority.”
Yes, but the Integra is a baby lux ride with good sporting chops. My wife’s IS is a nice “tweener” as well, but it’s got a current day price tag to match. It and the TL Type S are pretty close in the mid-30’s.
I don’t drive high end sports cars and would suck compared to most of you as a driver, but I agree. I always prefer a real manual compared to todays auto-clutch systems like the DSG and stuff.
