Some info on 5.56 vs. 223 ammo

I’m not at all up to speed on the real difference between the 223 & 5.56 can someone here provide a link that will cover it?

I know the Colt is stamped 5.56 so it should chamber both 223 & 5.56 is there a real difference in when shooting generally at 100yds with either round, providing their using the same size bullet? The ammo in 223 at least in my area is more economical than 5.56.

Also I’ve been a fan of Slip 2000 and EWG made by Slip 2000, any opinions on this lube? Up to this point been using it for the last 5yrs and been impressed.

I know it’s a lot of questions but it’s the only way to learn…Thanks

At 100 youll be fine shooting either. Obviously your zero may be a little different depending on the ammo and grain

Read a copy of Hornadys reloading manual. This will bring you up to speed on ‘Ammo’:stuck_out_tongue:
