LMT Defender upper receiver group, or complete LMT rifle?
I’m no LMT expert, but out of the three LMT upper receiver groups that I own as well as all the other ones that I’ve seen out there - they all have “LMT” laser etched on the left hand side of the upper receiver.
To answer your question, it has been my experience that without a handguard attached, the delta ring does have some degree of freedom to rotate. I have observed this with my BCMs, LMTs, and SIONIC upper receiver groups.
