OK Folks, this is one of those times that I am going to be really sorry that I can’t post pics on the site. As always, I will be happy to email pics on request… bear with me, because I believe this is going to get a lot of requests.
I have a CZ-26 (semi-auto) chambered in 7.62x25 Tokarov. IT IS THE ONLY SEMI AUTO CZ-26 IN EXISTENCE!
Do a little research and you will see that the CZ-24/25/26 line of submachineguns pioneered the telescoping bolt technique and was the inspiration for the Uzi.
Several thousand of these parts kits were imported into the US in the early 2000’s. They were not demilled correctly and the ATFE confiscated all of them that they could recover. This made these parts pretty hard to come by.
The ATFE has been contacted during this build and satisfied that it meets legalities.
Anyway, beyond the parts being rare, this is a very tough build to pull off because it requires reengineering from an open bolt firing system to a closed bolt firing system and NOT a lot of room to fit things.
I would like to tell you that I am talented enough to pull this off, but I am not. This rifle was thought out and built by a sheer genius in the industry, Nate Rayles of Unique Firearms Creations, LLC.
Nate made a lot of the new parts from the old parts and stayed very true to the original design. The one liberty I asked for, was a short piece of Picatinny rail mounted in front of the rear site in order to be able to mount a micro red dot.
The rifle was fitted with a brand new 16" barrel with integral flash suppressor that Nate made for the rifle. This rifle has a round count of 600. We needed to make sure we had the bugs worked out.
I believe I have 7, 32 round magazines that I will include with this rifle.
This rifle is pretty tough to put a price on. I mean, its worth whatever you can sell it for. I think it is probably worth $2000 due to it’s rarity, but I am going to ask $1500. I am pretty sure Nate would tell you that there is more than $1500 in work here if you had the parts for free. (Start to finnish, this took over 3 years to complete… although some of that time was spent waiting for the ATFE to respond)
I will entertain trades for just about anything I can use, but I need to be upfront and say that my trade value would be closer to the $2000 than $1500. (I would gladly trade this thing for about 5000 rounds of quality 5.56)
