Seems rather pricey for what it is.

i thought so too but that is not what i am paying and from what i was told the rifles are MPI and HPT tested.
plus its set up pretty much just like i want it only missing a few things

Any company that claims a certain barrel steel, HPT/MP, ask to see proof.

C4

they are well known in the Houston area for being liars.

search M4C for past topics on those guys.

ill make it easy for ya’

at that price point or even a couple hundred less; there is no reason why I would not go with someone more reputable.

I have seen DPMS LPKs sitting next to their lowers at gun shows; I cannot say thats what they use in their lowers… but…

Their specs on the link you sent dont even match the image.

I’ve seen their stuff at gun shows. They don’t stake their endplates. That should tell you all you need to know. You can and should get a known-quantity rifle from a reputable manufacturer for the same or less money.

If you pay $1800 for that, you are getting ripped off. Badly.

For the $$, you could easily have an LMT, BCM, DD, whatever. Plus maybe even an Aimpoint and mount (or at least a good chunk of money towards same)

ok well thank you so much for the info, now the next question to everyone what would you recommend as a better known manufacture for around that price links to websites or guns would be great if you can help out

-Daniel Defense-

-BCM-

-LMT-

-Colt-

-Noveske-

-LWRC-

-KAC-

Do some internet searching for who has them in stock and at what price. Grant from G&R tactical (C4Igrant on M4C) could more than likely help you out and give you good pricing.

Cancel that order if you can. For that price buy a KAC. No way would I pay that price for any Colt. Or buy any of the others posted above mine.

Personally I would limit myself to one of those listed below and NO OTHERS.

any recommendations on where to look at kac rifles? i already cancelled my order

MSTN, gungallery,lawmens.

If you liked that setup based on the image, go here:

He can set you up with the exact same thing and you can rest assure the parts are true to their description.

I saw the SOG Armory booth at the Crossroads of the West gunshow in Phoenix in Dec 2008 (they were not at the SAR part of the show but the regular part). Most of their stuff was selling for way over MSRP and I am not talking hard to get things (at the time) like PMAGs. I am talking about simple stuff that was never hard to get. Aimpoints etc that had no more than a few weeks lead time were priced over MSRP by a good factor. Ergo grips and stuff. Small stuff that was never sold out or had a lead time of more than a couple of weeks.

That should tell you all you need to know about SOG.

To chime in on what others have said, my friends and I who often see SOG at shows jokingly refer to them as “Super Overpriced Gun-stuff.”

You can get a Noveske for cheaper than that. Or a BCM, LMT or Daniel defense for even less than the Noveske.
