So Who Knew IWI Was Importing Uzi Pistols Again...?

At $1,099.00 I’m probably NOT going to be buying one but I still think it’s kinda neat to see something like this coming in again.

The actual SMG version looks kinda fugly, wish they made a clean SBR with a side folding stock similar to the Min/Micro Uzi setup.

It is really cool but with 33rnd mags for a Glock it makes this 3.5lbs of pistol kind of a relic that would be kind of cool to own just not practical

As Greg put it in the G36 thread, we are in a “second golden age” of EBRs. Your Czech Please thread comes to mind as well. This mini-Uzi can’t do anything my G17 can so I’ll pass but I’m glad to see this sort of thing coming to our shores once more. As for the SMG, IMHO the Israelis have gone full retard with all the CAA/Mako/Fobus/FAB tacticool garbage they hang all over their guns.

Now I want to go watch Invasion USA!

I think this has one pretty distinct advantage (though how important it is is up to you guys) over a Glock or other comparable pistol: the action. Specifically, the action with a silencer.

I’m not a fan of having to use a booster on a semi-auto pistol so it will have enough recoil impulse to unlock the Browning-style locking action. It adds too many moving parts for my taste, and on some pistols, requires spring changes and other things to tune it so it runs reliably. This? Just put the can on the gun. No booster needed.

OH, and a second advantage: it’s hard to put an RDS on a Browning-style semi-auto pistol because of the recoil. So far, the only thing I’ve seen that will last (according to DocGKR) is an Aimpoint T1, and even then, the recoil is still pretty hard on it and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Glock-mounted T1 eventually fail. This guy, though? Stationary top rail. I see that as a huge advantage for using an RDS.

Overall, I think this would make an awesome home defense pistol with a T1 and a can, and I think those are two pretty big advantages, at least in theory. I don’t have any real-world experience with Uzis, though, so maybe they’re unreliable messes and these “advantages” don’t matter much anyway.

Your actually pretty close to what some CPT / DPT are using. I’m not at liberty to name them but, it offers a lot of versatility for those specific mission perimeters.
G17 / 19 / FN 5.7 w/ the KPOS. G17 w/ can & Doctor Optic III is really quite a sweet package. I prefer Gen. 2 version w/ M4 style CH. Until the Pulsed Plasma Laser SBR gets refined w/ the power supply issues (& they are right around the corner), these are pretty sweet.

Invasion USA for the win !!! Chuck Norris with the double mini uzi’s in shoulder rigs

S.M.

I believe one of our SMEs has killed a T-1 on a Glock.

I do agree on the Browning system. I think for pistols to move forward from the current polymer frame striker fired Glock trend, someone is going to have to design some system where the entire slide isn’t moving around. At the very least some sort of set up similar to a desert eagle where the front is stationary

A buddy of mine has a KPOS (gen 1) mounted to a G19. Seemed kinda bubba to me. Now the Geissele/ALG “6 Second Glock” mount? Holy hell that looks awesome.

Like the DE models? Haha.

Good to know, thanks for sharing and good to see you posting again!

Thanks Dawg I appreciate your kind words & how you comport yourself.
Don’t get too optimistic about my participation as it won’t be that prolific. Some AssClown will invariably post something w/o doing the research, challenge common sense & facts w/ their status quo / cult of personality beliefs w/o facts & use the Aunt Sally / Straw Man format.

Reminds me when I use to interview potential Protective Agents & after perusing their resume I noticed they had annotated they had a Black Belt & / or multiple Combative disciplines etc. I’d always weed the BSer’s out by asking for them to simply demonstrate a typical combination of the most basic fighting disciplines i.e. “Jab, Cross & Roundkick” or similar or “Rear Naked Choke” whether stand up or grappling disciplines. Straight up, I experienced about 60-70% fail rate. Didn’t even need to pursue the vetting after that.
