So what's your "Dream Job?"

I’m bored as hell and I was thinking;
“I wonder if there is a market for old Bars?” As in I go in remove all the old wood work, restore it and re-enstall it somewhere cool.
I would imagine it’s an untapped market.

So what’s your “Dream Job?”

Cosmologist or theoretical physicist, but I don’t have the maff acumen.

Id LOVE to run a classy, 40 & over ONLY, nightclub.
Moderate dress code, 60’s thru 80’s music & videos…good food, dancing, good adult beverages.
NO ONE under 40 allowed.

Travel guide writer. Not a YouTube personality, just old-school hard copy paper book travel guide. Something where I could take my time to explore a new location and then give good, comprehensive advice about it.

Of course, no one buys those anymore so the industry is dead, but it’s OK to dream…

Dream job that I have the skills to do or just the dream job if I had the skills? If I had the skills (and $$$) my dream job would be running an offshore fishing charter boat.

Watch over a multi million dollar estate in Hawaii for an absentee billionaire landlord. Plus/minus on a Ferrari.

It can’t be minus the Ferrari. Can’t solve crimes without it!

I want to be the guy on the Food network who goes around to different places to eat and get paid for it. David

Dream job? Nope, I do not dream of labor

Bush pilot.

I fixed it for you so people would actually show up.

Blacksmith

Security guard at an airplane graveyard in Arizona. Walk around on occasion and kick rattlesnakes away from the planes. Read books, write, enjoy the solitude after years of the service industry. Or test and development rider for one of the manufacturers to produce MX bikes

Four years ago I woulda said “history professor at West Point or Colorado Springs”… now, it’d be permanent-exhibit development for museums, specializing in interactives for military history. Think “Disneyland of History,” combining ride technology with reenacting and hands-on activity to build an immersive “learn by living it” experience.

For real…

I had a good time at work today. Spent a good half hour today working with my girls on jumping up and down from the loading dock. (fat girl really needs to burn some calories anyway)

Baby steps and all. She will get there…

Naval aviator. From the time I was probably 5 that’s all I wanted to do.

I’d also go for an equipment tester/approver for the army. At the height of the GWOT I can’t begin to describe the amount of “high speed” pieces of equipment costing 10’s of thousands of dollars we were issued that I either managed to break on less than ten missions or rendered useless by finding unbelievably obvious flaws.

For me, it would be an engineering job with Skunk Works or the equivalent with any of the other companies. I would love to develop the Mach 10 kinetic kill vehicle I have rattling around my brain or any of the other dozen or so ideas for weapons that may or may not violate international law of war.

Private investigator. I’d live in a single wide that’s parked at the beach and my Dad who’s a retired truck driver will help me solve crimes on occasion. I’m thinking I’d drive a sweet Firebird and keep a small .38spl in a coffee can above the fridge. I’d depend on a local detective for favors who pretends he doesn’t like me.

Jim Rockford, is that you? :stuck_out_tongue:
