Just found this article in which Jim Mattis, as Secdef, promised the Turks that any weapons we give the Kurds to fight ISIS will all be accounted for and returned to us after Final Victory…
I doubt that in all the centuries of Kurdish strife not one Kurd has ever turned in a serviceable weapon to anybody…(a good policy anywhere, anytime).

The Kurds should get their own country, that is the price Turkey pays for their stupidity going back to blocking the northern route in Iraqi Freedom. Play stupid games, lose nice real estate .
Washington weasel speak, either party no difference.
Turkey is viewed as middle east fulcrum, but it is really a spoiler and we will come to that realization
