If your a sniper and I mean school trained 0317 or similar or a trained LEO sniper let me know what kind of tripod mounts you use. Also wold like to hear from any seasoned long range shooters.
I have made about twenty from aluminum and pressed them into shape. Then pressed in PEM stainless threads. padded with closed cell ISOMAT style foam.
trying to see where I can improve but the overall goal is Light,Strong and not expensive. feedback would be greatly appreciated from some seasoned shooters.

oh I dropped by the 1MARDIV school last week to see the guys and attend a graduation and dropped a few off for the PIGs to use. hopefully they can provide good feedback, also willing to donate one to a LEO sniper from california. While I was there a guy came in with a carbon fiber mount that had a T-Nut JB welded into it. Mine is shaped like a half pipe and he selected the box minus the top. Not sure if I would use Carbon Fiber for that application. It is heavier than the aluminum and more brittle with less flexibility when you throw it in a ruck.(Ideas and feedback?)
