Is there a go to supporting vendor that sells Smith Elite? Looking to pick up some and have some questions on fit and options.
Also, any coupon codes out there?
Thanks!

Are you military?
If you qualify they have a pro deal (le/mil/etc). I checked out some of their models at the high priced sunglasses boutiques at the mall to figure out which fit me. I’m probably going to order a couple pair soon, I was pleased with what I found.
No, just need some fishing, shooting, ATV riding shades. Took a 2 day class and realized good fitting quality eye gear is a must…
Between the discomfort and fogging I vowed to have something new soon.
Want one thin framed pair for shooting and a normal pair with interchangeable lenses (polarized for fishing, dark for driving/ATVing etc.).
Shooting: clear, red, gray.
Regular: gray, clear, polarized (just not sure if polar gray or polar brown).
Also curious on sizing… ???
I picked up a pair from Optics Planet and ran them through a carbine class this weekend (90+ degree weather). The glasses are great and didn’t fog.
Promotive.com (le/mil) has a very good discount on Smith Optics.
Just purchased their Aegis Echo glasses for shooting and so far have found them to be well-designed.
Where were the new Smith’s made? I wore Smith’s for years but lately I feel that the quality has fallen off since they seem to have moved production from France/Italy.
Looks like the discount is mil and first responders.
Anyone know what the discount is?
I submitted my credentials and am waiting for approval but didn’t see a discount amount anywhere.
Thanks
Harold

Harold,
The discount as I’ve seen it is a bit weird. I found it through Promotive but you have to be enrolled in the program through Smith themselves to get the discount. I don’t know if the discount is the same without Promotive but when you go to their site through Promotive and log in to Smith (after being granted access to their program) the discount is 40%. Again, I don’t know if it’s the same without Promotive but maybe.
Appreciate it. I will see what it offers on the Smith site as well.
Thanks
Harold
PS - If you are back in NOVA and want to try a USPSA pistol match in Fredericksburg on August 4th let me know.

+1 for poor overall quality… I was loyal from the old days, and my last three pairs have pretty much fell apart with heat/sweat combo. I still use their goggles, but have switched to Wiley-X for glasses.
Really? I have heard absolutely nothing but praise from a decent amount of heavy shooters for all of their stuff.
Just my experience… I order my glasses from framesdirect.com, and Smith stood behind warranty…but I just moved on. Like I said, I still use their goggles, and have for around 20 years or more. Costas are my daily wear now, shooting/safety glasses are WileyX.
-Might just be my sweat.![]()
How do the Wiley’s fit under your ear pro? What model you use?
Not sure of the exact model on the Wileys…they were issued kit to my nephew in Afgan. I will look in the case and see if it says. I use the clear set of lenses in them for safety glasses everyday in the shop, very comfortable. Fit under ear-pro is decent.
I’m not sure it’s universal. In comparing notes with other people, there may be more than one level of discount…which is somewhat common with a number of companies.
Quick update. I picked up a pair of the AEGIS ECHO. They are new and in the box and would like to trade them to someone for a like condition pair of the AEGIS ECHO Compact. The standard AEGIS ECHO is a bit large for my face.
Mine are the black ones with the gray and clear lens.
If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. Please PM me if you want to work something out.
Thanks!
