Does anybody even bother to read the ROE before they post? There are (constantly) repeated violations…even from people that should know better. Did something change regarding the posting rules that I didn’t catch??
In a word…NO, they don’t. No, nothing has changed.
Plus, you have folks that think that “I use the New Posts button to browse…” immunizes them of being responsible for paying attention to which subforum the thread they’re viewing resides. It does not…
A SME starting a thread in his own section does NOT suspend the ROEs. One may still only ask questions of the SME, not fall over each other to agree or “+1!” the thread.
Repeat offenses are deemed to be deliberate acts, as all initial violations are directly cited the ROEs by a staff member’s PM’d heads-up message; “I didn’t know…” ceases to be an excuse.
Deliberate defiance = immediate temp-ban on the basis of the “Fck me…? No no, fk YOU!” infraction. Specifically, a Disrespect to Moderator/Staff infraction, no warning…they already got the warning, and were briefed on what are very, very simple rules for that subforum.
Repeats of repeat violations = scorched and salted earth.
We miss stuff, so don’t be shy about point it out to us when we do. PM myself, militarymoron, Iraqgunz, or SWATcop556 to bring something to our attention. Use of Report Post will send a notification to SHIVAN, but I’d rather you alert one of the mods, first, as he’s the bossman and we’re the janitors… 
LOL…not quite…but I appreciate the promotion. Yep, use the report button if you think it’s out of line.
Some get through with us off doing real life stuff, and some are approved and just are simplistic questions.
Also, please realize that if a question is asked, and the SME responds, the question stands – I do not want to cut out a contributory post from a SME. HOWEVER, that will not absolve the person who posted the question outside the ROE. They will still receive an infraction.
Maybe we should update this:
“…each question should be sent to me (SHIVAN) via Private Message, with a cc: to Army Chief.”
Based on what you said JSantoro maybe we should be PM’ing these questions to the Mod’s you listed unless SHIVAN still ok’s them all anyways then drive on. Also, with AC dealing with his medical issues maybe someone could step in for him? Just my 2 cents and back to my lane…
