I recently rebuilt my Mk18Mod1 clone with a 12.5" Centurion Arms barrel and damn is that fugger accurate!

Problem is, the H-1 in LT mount is great (fast and light) but not so great with a 4MOA dot at 225 yards (longest distance at my DNR range).

First day out with it I put 27 of 30 rounds into a 6" circle at 225 with a cheap bipod I had to borrow that day. I didn’t like that I couldn’t tell what I was hitting at 225 so I’d like something with magnification.

I had a Millet 1-4 before but it’s too HUGE for this rifle.

I haven’t paid attention to 1-4 offerings in a LONG time and am wondering what’s the best route to go these days for a compact 1-4x that is light, FAST and also works well at longer ranges.

Or, I can just be satisfied with the Aimpoint. Problem is, funds are at ZERO right now so I’d be looking to sell the H-1 combo for something else. I’m still tempted to get a new Eotech because of the 1MOA dot…

Save your pennies and get the Aimpoint 3x magnifier in the LaRue Pivot mount.

That way you have the ultra reliable Aimpoint Micro, and still have the ability to reach out and hit more distance targets. While both are mounted on the rifle.

And if you want to save weight, and don’t need the magnifier on the rifle, just use the throw lever and remove it.

Trijicon TA-33G.

It is a touch more, but it’s an option. Is it possible to turn the brightness on the H-1 down and try to use it more like iron sights - but aim by putting a dim red dot over the same part of the target?
