I’ve been looking to buy a new AK and was about ready to pull the pin one when I came across the Arsenal SLR-107CR. I don’t know why I didn’t notice this rifle earlier. I’m very intrigued as it would fill 2 desires I have…a new AK and an SBR (eventually). My questions are:
Does shortening the barrel cause any problems in terms of reliability that you sometimes see with an AR?
Does shortening the barrel increase wear and tear or shortened life-span of the rifle to any extent?
Realizing that the AK in 7.62X39 is not a match rifle, what can one expect in terms of accuracy and/or effective distance with a shorted barrel?
Thanks.
