Hi all,
What slings and/or adapters allow the sling to be mounted around and through an LMT SOPMOD or Vltor IMod buttstock? For both these stocks, I’m think of mounting the sling through the slot under the battery compartment and around the top. (In the case of the Vltor, the sling would go through the top loop as well.) Ultimately, I’d like the sling itself to be attached to the top part of the stock.

I’m not one to keep up on all the latest gear and accessories, but I don’t believe there are any that will mount to the top of the SOPMOD stock.
I only recently decided to give the SOPMOD stock a try and with a BFG sling, I found that mounting it the way you described leaves barely enough room to tighten it through the buckles as that stock is quite a bit thicker than a standard M4 one. However, it still fastens tight enough and hasn’t fallen off or given me any problems to date.
Due to the extra beefiness of these stocks, you will have to disregard the use of the separate slider and just use the buckles that are integral to the sling
Gear Sector sells stock adapters that could potentially do what you want. If you don’t find anything, you could always buy webbing and make your own.
