The threat of a filibuster by the minority party is what is hobbling the majority party. You know that of course.
I don’t necessarily agree with removing the filibuster altogether, but going back to the traditional “talking” filibuster I’m all about. Goes for our side too. Since the late 70’s it’s been the mere threat of a filibuster that bogs legislation down. Make the filibusterers earn their moment and stand there for days on end like it used to be.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Republican’s don’t know how to or don’t like wielding power. Dems vote in a full block every single time they’re actually needed and only fracture on meaningless votes so they can point to their “bipartisanship” back home to the rubes. Republicans all vote separately only rarely joining to support their president and the platform that got them elected. Plus most of the Republicans are as interested in lining their pockets with government funds distributed to supporters and laundered back to them as Democrats are so they load up appropriations bills with just as much pork as the Dems do. Many of them are just as liberal as the Dems they just pretend to be conservative to get elected and thus get scared by bad publicity in the MSM and appeals to emotions to vote against their constituents wishes because they dont actually believe in their conservative positions.
