A class is being put together for the 24/25 of January in Anchorage, Alaska. We already have several interested personnel lined up.

Instructor will be bringing a variety of specialty tools to the class, to include a vise, vise blocks, etc…

Sionics Weapons Systems and Semper Paratus Arms is proud to bring you a 2 day armorer course designed to cover the AR15 family of weapons. Unlike many courses that are restricted to law enforcement and/or military, this course is open to all law abiding citizens.

Overview
This class will be taught using various media sources (videos, powerpoints and pictures) as well as well as hands on with functional weapons provided by the students. At the conclusion of the course all students should be able to assemble a fully functional weapon from parts. In addition they should be able to recognize common malfunctions and be able to troubleshoot issues that are frequently encountered.

The course will conclude with all students taking a written test as well as hands on test which will include the complete disassembly and reassembly of the weapon followed by a functions test.

TD 1
-Introduction to the AR15 platform, its history, and cycle of operation
-Parts breakdown and nomenclature
-Required tools and equipment needed
-Basic disassembly and reassembly

TD 2
-Overview of TD 1
-Inspection criteria
-Troubleshooting
-Complete and detailed disassembly and assembly of weapon
-Written test and certificate issuance

Instructor Bio
This course will be taught by a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S Coast Guard. Having completed a deployment to the Middle East in support of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom in 2005 he entered into the private sector working in Iraq and Afghanistan as an armorer/ instructor for several large private military companies supporting the Department of Defense and the Department of State. He has attended and completed numerous factory armorer courses from such companies as Beretta, Barrett, Colt, Dillon Aero, FNHUSA, Glock, Knights’ Armament, Remington, and SigSauer.

I want to thank everyone in Alaska who came to the class for their patronage and hospitality. It was a great class and I look forward to coming back out this summer when the weather warms up- :D.

It’s only going to be -10 degrees tonight. This IS warmer for January.

I remember going to Phoenix in February. I was told by locals that was ‘Summer’ (~85-90 degrees). The other season was ‘Hell’.

It would be great to see you this summer. You could tell us how our guns look, and if we should get to keep our certs.

How about we schedule our 3 year refresher class now for the Mon-Tues 2016 after SHOT Show down in your area?

First of all brother, thanks a bunch for making the trip up. The amount of expertise you shared was second to none. You have a great way of teaching, from the first time AR owner to a seasoned shooter, you where able to make it retainable for all. Everyone was more than pleased with what they got out of the class and we will definitely be bringing you up this summer for another.

For those that have the chance to attend this class, don’t fuck around and do it!!! Its more than worth it. I enjoyed watching IG basically put together a completely stripped lower in minutes with-out even looking at it and the whole while talking to the class. Bad ass…

It was great being up there and it seems there are more people who want to learn so we are working on another class in the May/June time frame.
