Had a chance to chat with the Sionics folks at SAR show. Nice folks and like their rifles. My buddy just let me know they have a dissy barrel for sale now. Question, does it come with a stock barrel nut etc. or would I have to unpin FSB to install. The reason I ask as I tried taking pins out before and they were a bitch. Thank you!
They have all this information on their website. You could also have pm’d IG for this information.

I believe that the website shows the actual configuration. These are currently configured with no barrel nut, a low profile gas block and the FSB. The current plan is to have everything prepped and allow for the user to knock the pins into place. We can also add a barrel nut and slip ring assy. I will be talking about this on Monday. We will also allow you to send a rail to us for installation.

It’s a “mock” Dissy, because the real ones do not work properly. We opted to go with function over form.

Sonics keeps improving their offering. It’s good to see. We ran Marks lower the other day, worked just fine of course. I wouldn’t mind having a Sionics in the stable.

Not to derail the topic, but besides looking awesome what is the purpose of a “dissipater”?
To get a nice, long sight radius, but keep the dwell time for the gas system. It’s optimal for fixed front sight shooters who want a gun shorter than the full length rifle.
