Single rear dot tritium sight...

Does anyone make a rear sight (specifically for a Kimber Warrior) with a single tritium dot, like a Warren? I am familiar with Heinie’s of course, but just wondering if there are any others…

there’s XS big dot sights. more of a V and a dot than a notch and a dot. good combat sight though.

10-8 Performance makes a single dot sight for the 1911 and I believe that Warren now makes sights forthe 1911 as well.

heinie’s are the king. no need to look further than the “shelf” models

i don’t see the 10-8’s on the website:

I’ve had gunsmiths install tritium bulbs in sights that didn’t come w/them from the factory as OEM.

Any competent smith can do that for ya, of course it raises the $$ a bit…

They do (10-8)? That’s news.

Warren is supposed to be releasing his 2-dot sights for the 1911 soon. I would just wait for those.

I didnt know Hilton was doing a single vial tritium rear. Last time I checked he made the 10-8 sights thick enough for the installiation of a vial, but stated you needed to send it to Tooltech and have it done yourself.

Scott Warren is currently making the Sevigny cut and Warren cut rears to fit Novak cut 1911 rears. Does your Warrior have a Kimber rear cut or a real Novak cut?

Good question. I dont remember if its a true Novak cut, or just a Novak “style” cut.

I mainly just want a single dot rear that will work with the factory tritium front. I really like the looks of the Warrens and have heard good things about them from some people whose opinions I respect, so if he is making them, then thats just what I’m looking for, so long as they are compatible with the factory front.

The Kimber Novak style cut usually has a flat spot on the top of the slide just forward of the rear sight dovetail. The true Novak doesn’t. This is my Springfield 1911 with a Warren plain black rear sight and a front night sight from Dawson. This gun is a constant work in progress. I plan to replace it’s frame with a Caspian Race Ready Recon frame.

I’ve loved that gun ever since you first posted pics of it.

Just checked mine, and yup, flat cut in front so I’ll have to wait until Scott makes one specifically for a Kimber. Would be cool if someone who knows him would drop that hint…

Im sure wish Scott’s rear 1911 sights would be ready for market.

Last time we talked it was weeks and now it has been months. Ya da Ya da…

REALLY nice setup.

I could have sworn I’ve seen single tritium versions on the site… looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Sorry for the misdirect.
