i love single points but they hit you in the privates in operations
The trend among our local SWAT operators is to use a 2 point but I personally prefer a single point as I can switch to the support side faster but I don’t plan to go hands on with anyone (I’m a civilian so the need for this is remote) so I don’t have the need to let go of the rifle. If it ever comes to that I’ll turn my wife loose on the suspect and take the risk of charges of excessive use of force…
For that role, I’d say single point all the way. Two points have their place, but in my opinion HD isn’t one of them. Personally, I like the Magpul MS-2 for the best of both worlds.
Personally I don’t keep a sling on my rifle when it’s at home. I have a single point on a QD ready if I need it, but if someone is actually breaking into your home, I think simple=faster. If things slow down and I need the sling, I can just push in the QD and I’m ready to go. Just my personal preference.
i decided to forego the dilemma and got a sling that can do both, Magpul MS2. Although the MS3 is coming later
What’s the difference between an MS2 and MS3?
i think MS3 has a phosphate finish, and the loop to clip the alligator clip is a triangle instead of a semi circle. Alligator clip seems redesigned also
